EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT VALENTINES DAY...BUT HARDLY THERE IS ANYONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT THE STORIES THAT HAPPENED ON ST.VALENTINES DAY

THIS DAY IS WELL KNOWN FOR THE  AND THEIR CELEBRATION. BUT MANY OTHER IMPORTANT EVENTS WAS ALSO TOOK PLACE ON 14TH FEBRUARY,, VALENTINES DAY. HERE WE DISCUSSE ABOUT FEW OF THEM .

AND I ALSO WANT TO SAY THAT THIS POST JUST NOT A INFORMATIVE POST ONLY BUT ALSO A HISTORICALLY IMPORTANT POST.

1.TELEPHONE PATENT OF GRAHAM BELL;1876

at the US patent office in washington DC, in 1876 a lawyer represented bell's telephone patent application on valentines day.

just before the atttornarey of Elisha gray filed a caveat announcing his intention to file a claim for a patent for his version of telephone.

on march 7,1876 the patent office decided to issue the first patent for a telephone, united patent no.174465 to Bell.

And the history made on the march 10 when bell sucessfully transmitted a voicee through the telephone wires to his assistant ,saying those words....''Mr.watson ..come here ..I want to see you.''

2.ARIZONA...A STATE;1912

Initially president howerd taft vetoed arizona's request for statehood in 1911 because its constitution permiited judicial recall. later ..after the revoking of offending clause of arizona.Taft signed the proclamation to make it the 48th state . although arizona voters extracted the payback in 1912..but when they approved the constitutional amendment reinstating judicial recall and gave taft only their 13% votes...placing him behined willson,,roosevelt and V.Debs.

3.FIRST KNESSET MEETING;1949

After independence of Israel ..the constituent assembly..the first parlament of Israel convened a insidee quarters in jewish agency building of Jerusalem. Israel's firsst president Mr.weizmann delivered a solemn adress in which he offered ''friendship to all peace loving people'' to the countri's Arab neighbours. Two daays later the parlament renamed itself Knesset ,that moved into Jerusalem in 1966..

4.MURDER OF CAPTAIN JAMES COOK; 1779

COOK was one of the most accomplished explorers...he charted lands from new foundland to newzealand to alaska...he was rewarded many times..for his all discoveries.

after some months ,,once his one of crew's boat was stolen . But the captain refused to seizing a boat of hi own ....and decided to retaliate by holding hawaian king's hostage instead. A hostle mob surrounded cook and his men. cook shot one man dead but when he reload, the captain was clubbed on the head and stapped repeatedly before dying in the knee deep water..

5.DRESDEN BOMBINGS

in the lasts month of the world war 2,,Dresden,( the capital of the German state of Saxony) was raided by air by the british and american forces. approx 3330 tons of bombs dropped into the city...and upto 135000 people were dead.Dresden is said to have been targated for the production of ammunition for natzis. The attack had another target also to weaken the power of germany .
